Wildlife World New England Blue Nest Box

The Wildlife World New England Nest Box has been designed to resemble the New England beach huts, as each nesting house features a real shingle roof with lapboard sides and a silvered hole protector which makes this bird house perfect for small garden bird species such as blue tits, coals tits, chaffinches, marsh tits and many more of our favourite feathered friends.

Site your New England nest box on a tree, wall or garden fence at a height of at least 1.5m-  2.5, ideally where cats and other predators will be unable to access it to protect any nesting birds and fledglings. Aim to face your nest box either East, SE or NE to encourage birds to your Wildlife World bird house, and ensure the box is left empty in between occupants as birds will bring their own nesting materials.

It is most likely that birds will make use of this impressive nest box during April and May so take care and try not to disturb the nesting birds during this time because there is a risk that the mother will abandon her eggs or babies. Once all resident birds have flown the nest, simply swing the brass catch to the upright position and pivot the nest box side to open and clean out your nest box.

Built to last, this New England nest box has been made from slow-seasoned FSC timber and can be painted annually with matching water-based paints to maintain its appearance.
