Windsor Squirrel Starling Proof Fatball Feeder

The Windsor fat ball feeder with Guardian cage is a durable, great-value metal feeder finished in an attractive dark green. Its sturdy outer Guardian cage helps protect the food from starlings, adult squirrels, and larger birds*, while allowing smaller birds easy access to the inner feeding tube.

Inside the Guardian cage, the metal feeder holds up to four standard fat balls, providing plenty of feeding space for visiting birds.

The flip-off lid makes refilling simple, and the feeder slots neatly back into the Guardian cage. A substantial handle allows it to be hung from a tree, branch, hook, or feeding station.

For thorough cleaning, the feeder can be unscrewed from the base using a screwdriver. Wash with mild detergent and water, using a cleaning brush and bird-safe disinfectant. Make sure the feeder is completely dry before reassembling and refilling.

A note on squirrel protection although this feeder is squirrel and large bird proof we cannot guarantee that the most determined squirrels or large birds won’t get inside of the feeder, particularly juvenile squirrels and birds which are far more agile than the adults.  Birds with particularly long beaks may also be able to access the feeder inside of the guardian. The bars on these feeders cannot be made smaller to protect from adolescent or red squirrels as this would pose a risk to the birds.
