The Wildlife World Ladybird Tower is well designed with a number of features which will be beneficial to insects, these include a hollow central chamber filled with straw for added insulation and security for the nesting insects, an apex roof that protects the central chamber - to keep the ladybirds and other insects dry and a ground pole which allows this ladybird tower to be sited into lawns, flower beds, wooded glades or even in planters.
Insects can easily access the central chamber through the paths that have been drilled through the sides of this log tower, and to encourage ladybirds to nest inside this ladybird tower simply smear ladybird food on the entrance holes as the odour will attract them.
Made from slowly-seasoned, FSC certified, air dried timber this durable ladybird tower requires no chemical preservatives that could disturb or deter nesting insects, and beware of the copies of this ladybird tower which dont even have a hollow central core for ladybirds to shelter.
Please note, requires some assembly. Unscrew the pole at the back of the tower, then insert the flat end into the hole on the base of the tower. Screw the pole tightly so that it is secure and then push into ground. Please refer to images for guidance.
Screwdriver not included.
