The Wildlife World Hedgehog Retreat is the perfect way to help our declining hedgehog population survive the cold winters, hot summers and tiring breeding seasons amongst many other factors which make it difficult for many hedgehogs to make it from one year to the next.
This hedgehog house has been cleverly designed with a large, predator defence tunnel as well as a large, sheltered living space finished in a rustic natural rattan finish.
Built with durability in mind, this hedgehog home features a strong, rust proof steel frame, with an FSC certified waterproof lining to protect resting hedgehogs from any bad weather - and helping to keep them warm and dry.
Place this hedgehog retreat in your garden or outdoor area to provide your lovely garden visitors with a safe place to hibernate in winter, breed and raise their young in spring and shelter away from the strong sun in summer.
Siting: Find a quiet position out of the prevailing wind in an area with some nearby vegetation cover. If possible place in an area of your garden which contains slugs to provide resting hedgehogs with a natural food source. We also suggest laying out some leaves or short grass inside the Hedgehog Retreat to make it more homely for the hogs.
