The Nuttery Roundhaus feeder comes with a wire cage surround which deters larger, adult squirrels and large wild birds – allowing the smaller birds to feed happily from the mesh enclosed feeder.

This starling proof seed feeder features low feeding port positions which ensure less wastage as more food can be eaten by your hungry feathered friends.

This large bird feeder also comes with an innovative lock and remove system as well as a hopper hidden underneath the lid which makes filling quick and easy, and this hopper can then simply be removed for thorough cleaning.

*A Note On Squirrel Protection

The Nuttery feeders can only protect against adult grey squirrels and large adult birds. Some birds may not fit through the bars but could manage to get their head into the feeder.  Adolescent young squirrels could squeeze into the feeder due to their flexiility. The young squirrels look very similar to adults.  This is a temporary seasonal issue.

You may also find that adolescent jackdaws, crows and pigeons may find their way in  The bars on these feeders cannot be made smaller to protect from adolescent or red squirrels as this would pose a risk to the birds.

A deterrant of chilli flakes mixed in with the nuts or seeds will deter the squirrels whilst being completely harmless to the birds.
