The Nuttery Original Compact Squirrel Proof Seed Feeder

The Nuttery Original Compact Seed feeder in Ocean Green has been designed in the UK and uses an attractive parrot cage made of heavy steel to deter adult grey squirrels and larger birds.. 

The Original metal bars on these pigeon proof bird feeders enclose a strong polycarbonate tube for seed, the original compact feeders from the Nuttery now come with 2 hanging clips which hold the lid in place and provide additional protection against predators. 

These feeders are easy to thoroughly clean by removing two small screws from the feeders wide base to fully dismantle, and once safe, clean and ready for use the Nuttery Original anti squirrel bird feeders are simple to fill with your choice of tasty bird seed, before being easily hung up in your garden using the feeders metal handle.

*A Note On Squirrel Protection

The Nuttery feeders can only protect against adult grey squirrels and large adult birds. Some birds may not fit through the bars but could manage to get their head into the feeder.  Adolescent young squirrels could squeeze into the feeder due to their flexibility. The young squirrels look very similar to adults.  This is a temporary seasonal issue.

You may also find that adolescent jackdaws, crows and pigeons may find their way in  The bars on these feeders cannot be made smaller to protect from adolescent or red squirrels as this would pose a risk to the birds.

A deterrent of chilli flakes mixed in with the nuts or seeds will deter the squirrels whilst being completely harmless to the birds.

To ensure that this high quality feeder remains safe for your feathered friends to use, this peanut feeder should be regularly cleaned which can easily be done by unscrewing the feeders base, taking out the inner tube feeder and then removing the feeder ports - all of which are simple to do and allows your garden birds to continue safely feeding from this feeder.
