Sunflower Heart Chips

Sunflower Heart Chips are normal hearts kibbled into smaller pieces. This makes it easier for birds to feed upon them. As the seeds have been broken they are less likely to germinate and cause a mess under your feeders.

Due to the process involved to chip the Sunflower, it is possible that some black sunflower husk is still left attached to the chipped sunflower. The black husk may fall off during transit, but will still remain mixed inside the bag of chips. This will not harm the birds, nor impair the nutritional content of the sunflower heart chips.

Due to this being a natural product, the chip's size and look can be determined by the weather during the growing period. This year's harvest has resulted in smaller sunflower seeds with the chips being smaller than usual and the colour of the chips can be slightly darker due to higher oil content. Whilst having an aesthetic impact, it will not change the nutritional benefits of this highly nutritious feed.
