This mix is perfect for smaller birds and fledglings, combining two delicious best selling bite-size favorite foods which are both rich in high energy, essential fats, and protein: Sunflower Heart Chips and Peanut Granules.
This combination of bite-sized sunflower heart chips and peanut granules provides essential fats and oils to help birds grow and thrive. By combining smaller pieces, it also attracts smaller birds and fledglings, making it an ideal fledgling mix. Softbill birds can easily eat and digest this food, Blackbirds prefer to feed from the ground so try putting this mix in a ground feeder.
Wild birds greatly benefit from feasting on peanut granules and sunflower heart chips, which are both packed with protein and healthy fats. The protein and fat-rich peanut granules provide birds with a vital energy boost, especially critical during the demands of harsh winters and chick-rearing.
Whole peanuts should not be fed to young birds because the granules may pose a choking hazard. This seed mix contains ground peanut granules that provide the nutritional benefits of peanuts in a safer form for young birds. Unlike whole peanuts, this mix can be used safely in standard seed feeders without the need for specialized mesh feeders.

Hygiene & Care
To support the health of wild birds, provide fresh, clean water daily for drinking and bathing. Regularly clean feeding areas and bird baths with a mild disinfectant. Keep bird food fresh and dry, removing any wet food daily to prevent the spread of bacteria and disease. While suitable for birds, this food is not for human consumption.
With natural food sources in decline, supplying food for garden birds year-round is vital to prevent starvation. For best results, set out feeders at dawn so birds can refuel after the energy demands of the night. When possible, position feeders near vegetation or other cover so birds have a secure spot to retreat from predators.
Important information
Please note that the larger quantities of this mix are delivered as 15kg (3x 5kg) and 25.1kg (2x 12.55kg) in polypropylene sacks.
Storage
We recommend decanting all bird food into an airtight container with a lid to preserve freshness and prevent the seeds from going stale.
