A favourite of the Goldfinch, the Niger Seed is accessible from the eight available ports, four with perches and four without. Like all the other Squirrel Buster feeders, the feedng ports on this innovative niger seed feeder will close as soon as anything weighing over 115g hangs from or lands on it. (The average weight of an adult Grey Squirrel is 400-600g).
When placing the Squirrel Buster Niger in your garden, be sure that it is hanging at least 0.5m (1.5ft) away from a pole, branch or tree as squirrels may still be able to reach across and empty the contents without putting its weight on the feeder.
The Squirrel Buster needs to be at positioned at least 18" away from anything as a squirrel could stretch or jump.

Squirrel Buster Finch: Dismantling Your Feeder
Read on for information on how to disassemble the Squirrel Buster Finch Feeder
1. To remove the lid, push down and turn counter clockwise.
2. Lift the cover up to remove it.
3. Pull the yellow cap in the middle of the tube up.
4. Disconnect the hanger cable.
5. Remove the nut at the bottom of the feeder.
6. Lift the tube.
7. Push the buttons to fully remove the tube.
8. That's it! You can now remove the tube.
