Unfortunately we have recently been experiencing severe supply issues in regards to the Squirrel Buster feeder range, as a great alternative we would suggest the Tom Chambers Squirrel Stop Seed Feeder, which works in a similar way with a weight mechanism that deters any bird or animal heavier than your favourite small garden birds. View the Squirrel Stop Feeder here.
The Squirrel Buster Classic is designed to deter marauding squirrels and large birds from emptying the contents of your feeder. The four ports on this innovative seed feeder close as soon as anything weighing over 115g hangs from or lands on it. (The average weight of an adult Grey Squirrel is 400-600g). The metal mesh cage over the feeding tube will also appeal to clinging species as well as those that prefer to perch to feed.
When placing the Squirrel Buster Classic in your garden, be sure that it is hanging at least 0.5m (1.5ft) away from a pole, branch or tree as squirrels may still be able to reach across and empty the contents without putting its weight on the feeder.
The Squirrel Buster needs to be at positioned at least 18" away from anything as a squirrel could stretch or jump.
Lifetime Manufacturers Guarantee
The feeder comes with a lifetime manufacturer's guarantee. For more information please see: https://www.squirrel-buster.com/

The small birds love it! Having started feeding the birds in earnest during lockdown and enjoying all the smaller garden birds I soon found that what seemed like the entire local population of magpies jackdaws pigeons and parakeets had clocked my wellstocked feeders and taken up residence in my garden as well as several squirrels too. In desperation I tried the Squirrel Buster Classic. It's a huge beast but it works a treat. I've hung it on an ornamental hazel tree and although the squirrels can climb along a branch to reach it they simply can't get access to the sunflower seeds inside the feeder. The minute they put their weight on it the cage goes down and covers the porthole. They're still trying occasionally but have mainly given up. The same goes for all the larger birds too ... and now to my delight some goldfinches have returned that I haven't seen for months and lots of other little birds peck away merrily as well. I was so impressed with the Squirrel Buster Classic I bought three of the smaller weight adjustable Squirrel Buster 750mls. I've filled one of them with mealworms and set it on the most sensitive of settings and the magpies who used to flap and bash my previous feeder to get the mealworms to drop on the ground have been defeated because the slightest weight of them touching it closes the porthole. So now my bird food lasts much longer (I used to have to fill the feeders daily) and the small birds are ecstatic €“ as am I.Christine 11 months agoSquirrels hate it! The small birds love it!
