While these are an excellent cat deterrent and work really well they don't seem to last more than 2 or 3 years before they stop functioning and need replacing. I beleive it could be due to lack of protection from the weather, they don't seem to like the damp. However, cats certainly don't like them and while they are working they will keep cats out of your garden but the larger the garden the more units you need (Posted on 17/07/2018)

Further to my comments about the early ineffectiveness of the Catwatch deterrent, I need to retract my negative opinion! The deterrent was replaced by Concept Research without any difficulty and has been in constant use for five months now. Eventually my garden has become cat-free. Range less than 3m and very narrow angle to trigger device. Cat fouling within two metres directly in front of device. Have discussed ineffectiveness with manufacturer and have returned it to them in Stevenage for their opinion. (Posted on 14/04/2016)
