RHS Iris Large Bird Nesting Box

The RHS Iris Large Bird Nesting Box is a high-quality nesting box for wild birds that will add natural beauty to any garden. Handcrafted from durable, sustainably sourced larch wood and featuring an RHS-inspired color scheme of dark green with natural oak accents, this striking nest box provides essential shelter for starlings, great spotted woodpeckers, and other large birds.

The generously sized 45mm entrance hole allows these majestic birds to easily enter while deterring smaller pests. As part of the RHS Wildlife Collection, the Iris Nest Box combines functional utility with aesthetically pleasing design to bring vitality and visual interest to your outdoor space.

All made in Stoke-on-Trent by Wildlife and Birdcare Nature Recovery Project (CIC) a not for profit organisation that not only help to save the crisis of nature, but are also a licensed training provider for SEN colleges to support young people with autism or additional needs leaving college to secure jobs their future. 

To properly maintain a nest box:

• Position it in a shaded area, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Mount the box at least 3 meters above ground.
• Clean the interior annually between September and January when unoccupied. The back panel can be detached for easy access during cleaning. Use only boiling water to sanitise the nest box.
