RHS Allium Nest Box

The Alluim has a tall, peaked roof. To allow for easy cleaning, the roof panel on one side can be unscrewed and removed, providing access to the interior nest box. It is recommended to detach this panel annually by unscrewing the two screws that hold it in place. Once detached, the nest box can be cleaned out thoroughly. When finished, simply reattach the panel by screwing it back into place.

For optimal use, mount the nest box 2-4 meters high on a tree or wall in a shaded location out of direct sunlight. Clean the nest box annually between September and January when unoccupied by simply removing the back panel and washing with boiling water. This box features a 32mm entrance hole with a metal protector, ideal for small birds. A hanging hole can be found in the back of the box to facilitate hanging it on a tree or fence.
