£34.99Live Waxworms are the larvae of the Greater Wax Moth, which makes them creamy white with a soft body which is easily digestible and very nutritious for your feathered friends. Rich in protein and fat, these odour-free waxworms are much larger than mealworms and should keep for between 3 to 4 weeks at room temperature.
Your waxworms will arrive in a lidded 75g, breathable tub which allows you to tip out a few at a time for your garden birds - without having to touch them if you are squeamish!
As waxworms have entered a stage in their life cycle where they no longer consume food, they are living off the fat supplies in their bodies which means you may see them growing smaller the longer you keep them. if you spot any black (dead) waxworms then they must be removed from the container.
Live foods are shipped separately to the rest of your order as they come directly from the supplier.
75g - supplied as 1 x 75g tub (approx 250 Waxworms)
150g - supplied as 2 x 75g tubs (approx 500 Waxworms)
