This gets five stars for concept. It is exactly what I have been looking for for some years: a free-standing feeding station. Three stars for implementation. The components are quite roughly made, with some substantial splinters missing from the wood. The joint in the main upright screws (not bolts, as the minimal instructions state) together; although there are holes drilled through one piece, there are no pilot holes in the other, making it difficult to assemble in alignment even after drilling my own pilot holes. The top cross piece was supplied ready assembled with no means of adjustment, and wobbles on top of the pole - fixed with a wedge and a screw. The simple saw cuts in the cross bars are too narrow to accommodate any but one of the wire hangers of my feeders. And the one I received has clearly been in not-very-clean store for some time and was dusty to the point of being pretty filthy - not a functional problem, but unexpected. Two stars for packaging. Dumped by DHL in my car port even though I was at home (not the fault of the product or the firm); delivered in two boxes labelled "1 of 3" and "2 of 3"; no idea what happened to 3 of 3 (and I couldn't ask DHL as the van was a cloud of dust at the end of the lane) but apparently nothing missing. The cross sections were delivered assembled, in an enormous box - which half filled my recycling wheelie bin - with so much plastic wrapping that it literally (and I mean literally) 3/4 filled my household waste wheelie bin. More than a wheelie bin's volume of packaging in total, very annoying. As a feeding station this remains exactly what I wanted and I am pleased with that aspect; but it needs a bit of care in manufacture and despatch to be 5 stars overall. (Posted on 05/11/2020)
