The ground feeder is easy to fill and clean with the hanging basket inside.

*A Note On Squirrel Protection
The feeder can only protect against adult grey squirrels and large adult birds. Some birds may not fit through the bars but could manage to get their head into the feeder. Adolescent young squirrels could squeeze into the feeder due to their flexibility. The young squirrels look very similar to adults. This is a temporary seasonal issue.
A deterrent of chilli flakes mixed in with the nuts or seeds will deter the squirrels whilst being completely harmless to the birds.

I found it difficult to add feed to the suspended feed tray without spilling feed all over the place but it can be done. I now use the item to simply prevent large birds getting access to a normal feed tray having removed the suspended tray.FREE Express Delivery on orders over £25*.
