Sunflower Heart Chips are normal hearts kibbled into smaller pieces. This makes it easier for chicks and fledglings to feed upon them. As the seeds have been broken they are less likely to germinate and cause a mess under your feeders. Sunflower hearts are a versatile and easy seed to feed, with a wide variety of wild birds favouring them. Best of all, as they have no husks, the birds will eat the whole seed, leaving little if no mess around your feeding station.
Specifically formulated to help fledglings gain weight quickly and maintain them in peak condition, Fledgling Seed Mix is the perfect mix for the fledgling season. There are certain moments in a bird’s life that can be classified as critical, a type of ‘cross-roads’ for survival; the fledgling period is such a time.
