Encircling the rim, an engraved quote from poet William Blake reads, "To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wildflower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour."
To help prevent frost damage, the birdbath includes three glazed mounting feet that slightly elevate it above the ground, similar to raising garden pots.
Siting
Place your bird bath where birds can see it easily and access it quickly. Position the bath so that birds can hop into nearby bushes or trees if they feel threatened, but not so close that predators can hide and ambush from the cover.
The ideal location provides bathing birds with good sight lines, refuge, and birdwatchers with pleasing views.
