Wildlife World Dovecote Nest Box

The Wildlife World Dovecote Nest Box is an exquisite home for any garden bird, designed in the style of a traditional dovecote this bird house is suitable for small hole-nesting species such as blue tits, chaffinches and marsh tits.

This nest box has been finished in a natural water-based white paint, and features a handmade timber shingle roof topped with a gorgeous white finial. Black steel hopes around the flat-backed nest box also offer structural stability to this large, impressive nesting home.

Your Dovecote bird box should be sited with the hole ideally facing North to North-East - away from the prevailing weather conditions, using the keyhole slot to attach the Dovecote to a tree, wall, fence or building at a height of at least 1.5m - 2m above the ground, safely out of reach from cats and other predators. When all occupants have flown the nest, the keyhole slot can also be used to open the back of this bird house for cleaning purposes.

This Wildlife World bird house has been designed to last from strong and sturdy FSC certified timber which requires very minimal maintenance, if preferred, to keep this Dovecote nest box looking its very best it can be painted once a year with a water-based paint.
