Christmas Opening Hours and Last Order Dates For Christmas Deliveries

Please find below our opening times and delivery schedule for Christmas.

All time frames are based on an order being placed before 2pm on the day. If you place your order after 2pm, then the following days time frames will apply to your order.

Example: If you place an order before 2pm on 19th December, it will be delivered on the 23rd or 24th if you select standard (3-5 working day delivery), or on the 20th if you select 'Express' shipping (1-2 working days).

DPD Shipping Options

Shipping is now available via DPD. This will give you more control over how you want your items delivered. Options include; specify which neighbours to deliver to if you're out (and which ones to avoid!), specify a leave safe location, redirect your parcel to a participating local store, take a photo of your house to help the driver identify it, take a photo of where you'd like the driver to leave your parcel (leave safe). For some of these options, you'll need to download the DPD app from the app store for your phone or tablet/iPad (Google Play Store or Apple App Store).

Downloading the app is optional, but required for certain features such as taking photos of your leave safe area. DPD will also email you the day before your delivery and also on the day to confirm your delivery slot. These emails will contain a link for you to adjust your delivery on the DPD website (for if you don't have the app).

Please note that you can download the app at any time to set your default preferences. To specify different preferences for an order you've just placed with us, you'll need to wait until your order has been packed and sent on to DPD before it shows up in their system.

Option 1: Set your default delivery preferences

You can setup your default delivery options in the DPD app. After that, the driver will follow your instructions each time they deliver. Please note this only applies to DPD orders and it will apply to anything they deliver to you.


Option 2: Deliver to and avoid certain neighbours

You can select which neighbours you would prefer the driver try and leave your parcel and which neighbours the driver should avoid


Option 3: Leave safe options (with photos)

Select a place where the driver can safely leave your parcel, plus take a photo of your safe place to help them find it


Option 4: Redirect to a pickup shop

Redirect your parcel to a participating local shop where you can pick it up later. You'll find a list of local shops that participate in this scheme in the app. Only shops in the app are eligible.


Option 5: Setup instructions for each delivery attempt

Specify what the driver should do on the first, second and other delivery attempts


Review your options

Review your options and save your preferences. Once you setup your default delivery options, you won't have to do it again.


Remember that to do this, you'll need to download the DPD app from your app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store). The page may look a little different depending on your device. These options only apply to deliveries from DPD and will apply to any company that uses DPD (so from both us and other companies that use DPD).



Leave Safe Delivery Option

We use DPD to deliver our parcels, the UK's number one carrier. They will always try to deliver the parcel directly to you but if you might be out then leave some instructions on where they should leave it.

If you download the DPD App or await the DPD shipment emails you can take full control of your order. You can provide a default leave safe location which will be used on all future orders, you can select from a list of neighbours who you would prefer to receive the parcel on your behalf and those you definately don't, for light orders you can also have them delivered to a local shop if this is more convenient.

We can also deliver to an alternative address (e.g. your place of work) at no extra cost - this just needs to be done when you place your order.


Same Day Despatch

All orders received for in-stock items by 2pm on a weekday will be despatched the same day by 24 hour courier, or first class post. In some cases you may receive your order the following day, although it may take the courier 48-72 hours. Orders received after 2pm may also be despatched the same day but we cannot guarantee it. Please note deliveries are not typically made on a weekend and timescales refer to working days.

If any of the products you have ordered are temporarily out of stock (due to demand) then some of your order may be delivered separately.

Unlike many of our competitors, we deliver to Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Islands, Isle of Man and outlying areas at no extra cost to you. Due to geographical location, deliveries to these locations will take a little longer. Please note that the 'Signed For' delivery option isn't available in certain locations.


Postage Charges

Postage and Packing is FREE for all orders over £25.00, for orders under £25.00 there is a charge of £3.99.


Small Parcel Deliveries

Orders that qualify for our small parcel service are all delivered as 'Leave Safe'. If your order qualifies for this, you will automatically be given the option at checkout.


International Deliveries

We don't currently offer international shipping.
