Classic Bird Peanuts are a great addition to our peanut range. These peanuts offer the same nutritional values as the Premium Peanuts but at a better price.

Whilst nutritionally equivalent to larger peanuts, these peanuts are smaller in shape and not as aesthetically pleasing but easier for birds to handle.

Recent crop, aflatoxin-tested wild bird peanuts. Rich in fibre, fat and protein, they are a nutritious year-round food for a wide range of garden birds. May slightly differ in appearance but our bird peanuts are always tested according to BRC standard quality.

Our supplier performs stringent quality tests both at the country of origin and again before they enter the warehouse using an independent laboratory to ensure they are the top grade that is expected. This grade is close to human grade standards with an aflatoxin level of 2 parts per billion. Standard Wild Bird Grade for peanuts is 20 parts per billion.

Unfortunately we have had to revert to shipping our peanut lines in plastic bags due to the high oil and fat content affecting the integrity of the paper bags.

Please follow the below storage instructions to keep your bird peanuts as fresh as possible, otherwise they could go mouldy.

  • Bird peanuts should be stored in a dry, cool place in a plastic or metal air tight container, with a secure lid.  Peanuts can go mouldy if not stored in this way.
  • The perfect place to store your bird peanuts is a garage or a dark shed away from direct sunlight. Sheds can warm up during the Summer to please ensure the bird peanuts do not get too warm.
  • You can see our storage container range here.

The Peanuts are 80/90 size (number of Peanuts that fit in the average hand). We source our peanuts from all over the world to ensure that we bring you the best at the best prices. The climate condition at the growing location can have a large influence on the look of the peanuts but rest assured that they have been aflatoxin tested to ensure they are safe for birds. Please note that the appearance of the peanuts may differ slightly to those in the photos.

Which birds?

Which feeders?

*Please note that our 25kg and 50kg sacks of bird peanuts are delivered as 2 x 12.55kg, or 4x 12.55kg sacks meaning you get more seed for your money. Plus they're much easier to handle, store and will remain fresher for longer.
